Cooperative Winery
The Vignerons d’Alignan du Vent-Neffies Cooperative Winery has evolved to embrace modern attitudes to wine consumption, reflecting the new dynamic approach to winegrowing in the Languedoc. To achieve this has required significant effort at every stage, from the vineyard through to the marketing of the wines.
- Replanting of vineyards with high-quality, carefully selected varieties, suited to market demand.

- Upgrading of structure and production facilities to ensure a high-quality product.
- Product profiles determined upstream as part of a coherent marketing policy.
- Highly specialized production methods for different products.
- An ongoing search for new opportunities, through the implementation of trials.

These initiatives require a dynamic approach at all times.
The effort has paid off, and the Cooperative Winery has established a reputation for quality.

Today, it is essential to master new technologies in order to satisfy connoisseurs and wine enthusiasts. But these technologies have to be applied in such a way as to obtain results that are both recognized and sustainable. Only investment in modern, precision equipment can enable this goal to be achieved.
Located in the historic heart of the largest wine region in the world, the quality of the terroir results in a winegrowing model that combines traditional and modern techniques.

The best French grape varieties - Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Muscat, Cabernet, Mourvèdre, Pinot, Cinsault, Carignan - are grown here on terroirs that fit their personalities.

The Alignan du Vent terroir benefits both from a Mediterranean climate, with a particularly favourable orientation, and from a dry North wind which naturally protects the vines. The soil consists of siliceous pebbles with middle terrace zones of clayey gravel and sandy lower terraces.

In the sunny garrigues, on Neffies’ south-facing slopes, an exceptional schist terroir enables Syrah and Grenache to express their full aromatic power.

The diversity of the soil requires carefully planned planting. In a constant quest for the best possible quality, the various grape varieties are matched to the soil characteristics. Symbiosis between the soil and the grape variety enhances the development of the wines, enabling them to express their qualities, their finesse and their aromas.

In 2017 the winery began the process of organic conversion of 100 hectares.
